My poinsetta
This is last years, I nearly killed it by drowning, cleared all the dead leaves of and saw a few new shoots so left it on the kitchen windowsill and lo and behold it has new red bracts, never been in a darks warm cupboard as its said you should do, one bright spot in my life.

Re: My poinsetta
That's great Billie - now you have over-summered it for a whole year, it will go from strength to strength, but don't water it too much will you?

Re: My poinsetta
Well done, not the easiest things to keep going. I bought one this year, has slightly pinky coloured bracts - will try to keep it!

Re: My poinsetta
I don't have plants - I have black fingers and kill
them off. Don't mind fresh flowers but not ones that are in pots

Re: My poinsetta
I'm okay with plants without flowers, but all the ones I have had with flowers have died on me in weeks, except orchids, again thats mainly through neglect as I forget to water them, but very chuffed with my bracts

Re: My poinsetta
It was the only very slight misgiving I had about coming away for so long --- when I left, all my orchids in the bathroom were in full bloom and looking magnificent. I don't water them often (once a month) so they should be OK but I am missing their wonderful blooms every time I have a wee!!!
