The colourway was purely fate: I don't have a huge number of 12 x 12 sheets and virtually all the double-sided ones I had were really thick and I didn't think the book would lay flat enough. But I think it would be good for male 'photos and memorabilia.

The buckle is a vintage (probably art deco) one: managed to acquire a few from the charity shop a while back. I used it on the book as part of my "Use It!" resolution this year.
