smash books
has anyone heard of or seen the latest "thing" ...smash books , i think they look fab . dont fully understand what they are but i just love the look of them . tried googling last night ,did not find very much but will keep on looking .

They've actually been around for years. It's another fancy name for a journal and you just stick any old thing you want in.

I think I've heard concertina type books called this, the ones that have the triangle folds in the corners.

I looked at the link you gave, Lorraine: strikes me that it looks a bit like a mix between a scrapbook (in the old-fashioned sense) and a sketch book. Nothing wrong in that, I guess, but do we need to buy a specially-produced one, and all its accoutrements, at a no doubt inflated price (as Kim said). Loved one of the comments left:
"Oh wow ! A book you can stick stuff in - why hasn't anyone thought of this before ??"
