Has anyone used the Glimmer mist sprays by tattered Angels yet, I saw it in Quick cards mag; and have ordered 2 bottles to try it if you want to look it at www.handyhippo.co.uk

And for all you Antique paper people bobunny has some new ones in.

I have alot of glimmer mist....one thing you will find is that your paper is not going to be flat anymore...

also if you use a heat tool to dry it it brings out much more sheen and shine..
you can also make your own glimmer mist with pearl ex pigment powders

Jodi
edited to add*** also try not to shake it the powder of course settles to bottom of bottle...try rolling it around to mix it instead of shaking the bubbles will spray out as spatters although that is a cool effect and some try for that but if you are not looking to have splats on your paper avoid bubbles and also spray with a little distance between bottle and paper...hope that is helpful

Don't have any, Billie, so can't comment.

However - doesn't it make a difference having a member from the US on our forum: they have all these lovely things long before us, so already know how to use them by the time we get them over here! Thanks, Jodi.

Have loads and loads Billie - and they are wondrous!! They ARE inclined to buckle the paper a bit, but I usually pop the sheet of paper under a heavy cutting mat with a book on top, overnight, and the next morning it is fine. They are lovely for using with masks too, as well as normal spraying. You will thoroughly enjoy them, I know.

Hey Billie, mum sent me some of these for my birthday last year. To be honest there are better ones out than Tattered Angels as they are a bit insipid and you can use half a bottle on one project.

I did have the name of another brand I liked and tried on a crafty day... see if I can find it!

Yes the twirling rather than shaking is certainly a tip I've heard before. If the tube does block you can soak it in warm water with fairy liquid and it will clear, and you get a pretty sink when it does squirt LOL
You can use perfect pearls to make your own too.

Crying Laughin knew you would join in this thread and let us know about your relationship with glimmer mists , you still got them then ??

i love them too and patty is right they do work great with masks and also on the flowers we all use so much of nowadays .a quick burst of glimmer mists on them seem to bring them to life on a card or lo esp. ch****mas cards

Yes Kim, have just done some flowers with bronze and pale lemon and they are looking simply great. I love doing just a splodge of one of the mists across the corner of a layout 'backing sheet' of card before I start too. And great on rather plain cards you might think just need a little something extra. The midnight purple is to die for Billie!!!

I have ordered the turquoise with silver through it, cause I love that colour, and the dark green with gold through thought it would go well on C-------s cards, should have got a red, well if I can work with it will maybe order some more, or do you want me to buy yours from you Lorraine, as you don't like or use them.

Scatty and I bought the Inkylicious ones at the Malvern Show; they're ace and the nozzles don't get blocked up, even if you do get around to actually using them!

Tried them out yesterday just after they had arrived but there must have been bubbles in it as there are a few blobs, will try again in a couple of days, but they do make a mess used a large piece of plastic to put the card on and it was all covered in it, even spray my top, good job it was a work one.
