Did a layout from a magazine

Don't do this normally but I quite like it, I sat with a magazine and a note pad and did a lot of the layouts from it, will try them all and see how I go.

I spend quite a lot of time cutting out the designs I like, I have 2 spiral bound books (£land) which I keep them in; 1 for LO's, 1 for cards, I often keep the ideas for the freebies in there too, I look and see what people did, then invariably go of and do something completely different but it's gives me that kick start to the old creativity.
Then hopefully the pile of mags decreases a bit, that's the theory anyway.
Nice card, I do sort of envy you girls who have done the whole year's birthday cards already and can start on these, but I like to do them in season too. I think I'm doing well if I'm a week ahead. Usually it's just a case of make it, post it.

I've got a couple of ideas/project books that I am compiling. I am trying to
go through the piles of craft magazines I have, cutting out articles etc.
Trying to get through at least one mag a day although I haven't managed
it for the last few days.

It's lovely Billie and it's a good idea to use inspiration from mags and stuff. That's what they're there for anyway I suppose, lol.

Thrifty I am only doing some now as they are to go out to Afghanistan for the use of the RAF personnel stationed out there, there is a woman in Cambridge who they are sent to then they are flown out with the mail, put up in the mess hall and they can pick out the ones they need, they are then flown back, so all it costs them is the UK postage. I will probably be doing Valentine and Mothers day ones around the start of December

Great image and LO Billie. I too keep designs that I like from magazines (do it with recipes too) and have them in a folder under different headings. Have a pile of magazines I need to sort through aswell.
