Lynda, these are fabulous. What lovely gifts.

Think I may have figured out why you're having trouble uploading to PB, although I may be wrong. These images were huge!!! Each was 1 mb and 200 res. I resized them to what I always use, 8 inches on longest size and 72 ppi (576 pixels). Each are down to 72kb then. If you keep your images to a max of 600 px you shouldn't have a problem, and that's the optimum size for the forum too. As I say, I may be wrong, but it's worth a try.

Very effective Lynda.

I have a couple of large shadow boxes - with compartments (off hand
I think they are Tim Holtz) but don't know when I will get round to
doing anything with them.

Technical bit first: Lorraine - I sent the scans to you un-re-sized, to give the best chance of them looking good once you'd gone through all the processes to upload them. I use the "Re-size for web page display" and "Re-size for e-mail attachment", as appropriate, under normal circumstances, so I think it must be something else. Thankyou for uploading them, though, otherwise I'd never get anything on here!

The red one, for Scotti, is much more blingy than I'd usually make. It was based round the flock poinsettia paper in the base of the box, which Scotti sent me as part of a Christmas present a few years back (I've since bought the glitter version - oh no!). I had the K & Co glittered alphabet, but kept the embellishments to the minimum. The other one, for Deb, was made with a My Mind's Eye Bohemian Christmas scrapping pack, which I bought from Helen at the Nottingham retreat, so it had the letters with it. The background paper was just a mottled blue, but I stamped snowflakes on it in white - difficult to see them.

Not sure that I can do a tutorial, Patty: in my usual, recycling way these are only possible if you have the base of a chocolate box (nothing as posh as a Tim Holtz box!) which, instead of just being a box with four sides, actually has the frame-like sides you see here. I've strengthened the frame sides with pieces of thicker card: easiest to do this from underneath the frame - having said that, the inner side of the frame on some of them has cut-out sections all along, so you have to put your card strip on the outside. I think the project is about 70% engineering and 30% crafting! These two were made from a single chocolate box, where the lid and base both had the frame sides: the Use By date was May 2001, so you can see how long I've been saving these things!

I suppose you could achieve the same effect if you happened to have some long, thin pieces of polystyrene that you could make into the frame - or, if you had the patience, actually make the frame from card. Working out how to cover the frame part with paper is quite fiddly, so if you'd like me to I'll put those instructions on as a tutorial. You can put scenes in rather than words, too.

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, just like they should be.
