Martin did a much better job on this one, although i still like the first one, this is more a bonsai. He has also made a baby version which he took to work, but i can't find the photos he did of that one.

This one has a twist trunk, he's draped roots over a rock and even made tiny thin roots to add to it, plus tree litter on the floor.

Thanks Billie, yes he's doing great with it. The mini one was just as good. We bought some weeping willow leaves last week because he really wants to have a go at that.

Ezxcellent - well done Martin. Someone in my house mentioned bonsai last
weekend and I wondered if Martin was still into bonsai.

Oo yes steph, don't think he'll change Very Happy He's liked them for years, have had a couple of real over the years, but at least these can just sit and look pretty on the table. We have sort of suggested selling some as well, once he has made a few more. Not sure what we'll charge prices, but I can take them to the craft shows i do and see how he gets on.

Wonderful tree, I think the dish lets it down a bit though, sorry, had to say it, I know he hasn't made that, but would look better in a china/terracotta dish/pot.
It's a lovely piece of work.

problem at the moment is that we can't find any dishes, and this is for our own personal table LOL.

Yes I like the trunk as well, he's done a marvelous job, took him about 28 hours to do and that doesn't include the drying time of the clay LOL
