My Birthday cards
Lorraine's has layers on which you can't really see in the pic and velvet ribbon, some parts are glazed with diamond glaze, lots of work in this, loving the colours and the strokey bits.
Ruth's is very nicely worked and hardly late, just a day, blame the BH for that LOL
Steph's has a very clever verse on and is decoupaged, the bottles all have special drinks in too.
My Mum's had lots of beads on, but several are in the envelope, she thought I should have something OTT for this B'day, so she did loads of 50's
This is the inside of Steph's, spot on, I used to have Union Flag flights but now I have St Georges flag. Taking this to show the girls on Monday.
Lovely soft colours on Patty's with raised layers, Maria's has a sparkly green backing, very neat colouring too, a lovely insert too, x
Di has used my fave shade of pink and the letters are glossy, sorry the fibres are over the stamped wording, pretty ribbon threaded lace and neat lines of dots
Dawn's cake has lots of layer and is gently frosted,
some of you will remember Tracy Gough I expect
Lots of different textured papers on Lynda's, nice idea that
The one by my colleague is fairly simple but she's only just getting into crafting so I was pleased to recieve it.
Will have to ask SIL how she made this background it's got metal leaf on and is padded slightly, It's a softer acetate than usual.
I know not all of these are from our members here but I thought you might like to see them anyway.
People have picked them up and exclaimed over all of them, it's such a good talking point, they love the handmade ones.
I'm so lucky to have them, thank you all.

What a fabulous bunch there - really thoughtful and creative.
Love Pattys - like the postcard theme.
Glad you liked the pub with dartboard pop up.

Re: My Birthday cards
Steph's dartboard one is amazing, and I like Patty's too (rums - right up my street).
Mine was heavily recycled/reclaimed. All were strips left after other projects: the one with the three eyelets was the spine of that page from a pad of papers I was given: all the spine parts had three holes in where they were sort of punched together so I made a feature. Greeting cut off a card and flower from a defunct silk flower: think the only things new were the brad and eyelets - hope you're proud of me! And not a button in sight.

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, just like they should be.

Well done - I love recycling pieces like you do. Haven't bought anything craftwise
at all this year, still determined to use what I already have. Whoops, tell a lie, bought Tim Holtz's
new book - the follow up to the Compendium of Curiosities.

Re: My Birthday cards
Another one that arrived today, from Cath, very pretty, I even like the buttons. In fact I often like the buttons others use, they just don't look rigght when I use them.
Loving these colours and pearls too, thank you.

Re: My Birthday cards
Great selection, must take pics of mine, I always forget you know Tracy. She cracks me up, we did bingo at the retreat and basically she corpsed so couldn't call any numbers for about 10 minutes!
Re: My Birthday cards
She's our cropmeister ruth, lives about 3 miles away. She said you had a brilliant time, a pity it's a bit too far for me to come to that one.
