There is journalling behind the middle polar bear picture which shows my discomfort with the polar bear, he did the same thing over and over again and to me that's a sign of madness rather than crowd pleasing behaviour, a lot of the enclosures seemed too small.

Great LO's Ruth. I thought all zoo's had been made to have bigger enclosers which is why London doesn't have bears any more.

Always thought it cruel to keep bears in enclosures, poor thing.

Ditto all re the poor bears, I do wonder about the size of enclosures, we have a lovely wildlife park up the road and the enclosures are a good size, but you can't help thinking how much space they'd have in the wild, although in the wild they have to travel further to look for food, which they don't here. They breed well which is always a good sign.
