I used to like that when we lived in Germany, do they still draw them all on top of each other?

I used to get that as well when I did sewing but the patterns were so confusing I gave them up.

Cracking up here. LOVE your thread title, pmsl. Good look with that Kim. Burda scare the hell out of me, lol.
Gonna make a new section for sewing in Craft Chatter I think.

Seem to remember I used to steer clear of Burda, too.

look at the pattern sheets, you have to work out which line you are following to trace the one you need

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date

I used to use them and traced them off on to the paper you could get from the butchers, back in the day when they existed. I'd felt pen over the one I wanted first to make the lines thicker.

I've made track suits, a skirt and a jacket (that I can remember) from Burda mag patterns and they were ok, you'll be fine.

Re: for the sewers among us....as in needlework not toilet waste
Looks like I'm going to be (temporarily) joining you with a small sewing project: shortening the arms of one of the shirts that Steve is going to throw out so I can wear it as a nightshirt in hospital! Have been trying to find a button-through nightdress, an almost impossible task, until Steve came up with this idea - as I might not actually spend the night in hospital, it's silly to buy one anyway.

Re: for the sewers among us....as in needlework not toilet waste
I made a dress recently from Burda mag. I found it harder to draw the pattern out than i did 20 odd yrs ago. Came out ok. I use greaseproof paper.
