Well, not actually embroidered ornaments, sorry! Two sorts of angels I made, years ago: top two are dolly peg ones, with gathered fabric for skirts and appliqued design, top body is painted; twigs for arms; mountboard scraps cut for wings; fibres for hair. Bottom one has a bag skirt, gathered at the 'neck'; a raffia bow for wings; a puff of cotton-wool type stuff for hair, but it's white so you can't really see it. Both very simple to make, but quite effective.
