Tag sent to Lynda
Finally got the camera out to take a picture of the amazing tag from Ruth. It's got everything in it, the more you look, the more you see. And yes, the white paper behind the picture is what you think it is!
Realised after I'd uploaded the picture, taken the lens off the camera, put the back cap on the lens and the cap on the body, put them back in the camera bag and put the bag away that there is a poem on the back I should have photographed. So will type it here (quicker than getting everything out again):
We're stuck inside with the other half
It's getting past a joke
But something good has come if it
Our gardens are bespoke!
They say there'll be a baby boom
Or maybe more divorces
Who can tell, there's lots at stake
But it's up to other forces!
We can't go out but if we do
It's just for our essentials
Although we are allowed, of course
To improve our credentials!
We've all got rice and pasta
And tins of tuna too
But some things are in short supply
Like paper for the loo!
Thankyou, Ruth, a lot of thought gone into that and a lot of work, too - very impressive!
Thanks everyone for joining this swap.

Re: Tag sent to Lynda
Tell you what, Maria - I have a proposition. I can see what you all mean about scrapping the tag, it has it written all over it (even though I know nothing about scrapping). How about we do a swap-within-a-swap: I'll send you Ruth's tag to me and you make and send a tag to me, when the mail allows? I won't ask for the one you made, as I can see that it could turn into a really super project and I wouldn't want to rob you of it.
Will leave the idea with you.

Re: Tag sent to Lynda
You will love the tag, Maria, it's so beautifully made (Ruth's stuff always is, perfectionist) and it just captures the moment. Just thought: I hope Ruth doesn't mind, although it's not as if it's going outside the forum members.
Will look forward to seeing your project, as well as the scrapbook page. Will let you know when I've posted it, although not sure when it will be as there's huge queues outside our PO: they are awaiting screens to be made and meanwhile are only using one position, which is the only one screened off. Best to go on a Tuesday - if only we'd had this conversation sooner!

Re: Tag sent to Lynda
Brilliant Ruth, the tag is top class and the poem is a brilliant addition. Nice that it's becoming a round robin almost.

Re: Tag sent to Lynda
I didn't write the poem, it's part of this longer one
My Lockdown poem, by Jenny Perkins xxx
And so we’re all on lockdown
It really isn’t fair
But pretty soon we all will know
The real colours of our hair!
They say to look for symptoms
A fever, cough or shiver
But most of us should worry
About the state of our poor liver!
We’re stuck inside with the other half
It’s getting past a joke
But something good has come of it
Our gardens are bespoke!
They say there’ll be a baby boom
Or maybe more divorces
Who can tell, there’s lots at stake
But it’s up to other forces!
We can’t go out but if we do
It’s just for our essentials
Although we are allowed, of course
To improve our credentials!
We’ve all got rice and pasta
And tins of tuna too
But some things are in short supply
Like paper for the loo!
We must stay in, we’re very scared
To catch the dreadful virus
But our Heroes in The NHS
Will help, cure, and inspire us.
The day will come when this is over
And celebrate we will
But we must not forget the ones
Who died or became ill.
My arms are more than ready
With hugs and love galore
We’ll show our love to everyone
Today, and evermore.
Yes feel free to send it on
