Received this lovely Christmas Carol ornament from Lynda

Glad you liked it, Cath. I did a different Christmas Carol ornament for all the friends I sent to, had fun using all different elements from the Graphic 45 papers. The outer ring is the inner from a roll of double-sided tape, by the way.

I also wondered how to give extra support to the elements I wanted to fix to the edges of the ornaments. Thought about piles of small pieces of card, then suddenly realised I could cut a short length from another inner, paint it black and glue it under the unsupported bit - exactly the right height!

When you've been working with recycled materials for 20 years, you find all sorts of ways to use things. Unfortunately, it means you keep all sorts of trash, so I feel sorry for whoever had to trawl through my stuff when I'm gone!
