What a great idea, Dawn - and, as you can see from Di's posts, suitable for both men and women!

I was going to make a journalling jar a couple of years ago, after seeing them on a crafting forum/website.. the idea behind that one, was that you type or wite out ideas for layouts on pieces of paper and pop them in the jar, on a rainy or boring day you take strip out and use the idea on a layout or on a card.

I love what you have done...it is so manly without being stuffy.

The jar is full of slips of paper with questions about the past for example - what is your earliest childhood memory. You can make it to suit the person really and put whatever questions you like.
I gave it to him yesterday and explained what he needed to do and he seemed quite taken wiyh the idea. He has just text me to say his wife likes it and he has already filled in two pages.

Brilliant idea and great for a man too. It's nice that he has got in touch to say he's used it already, obviously a hit.
The colours are lovely.

There was a similar idea in the latest Craft ~Stamper magazine, but using wooden coffee stirrers or blank flat lollipop sticks, covered ion paper one side and coloured and sentences printed on paper, stuck to the other side and then popped in an altered Pringles tub.

I don't have any stamping mags - not really into stamping, although I have
treated myself to a few and must set a day aside for practice and
experiment soon.

Fabulous, Dawn and a really super gift.
No wonder he loved it and how lovely to know he's using it. Mr Green
