well, Ive been trying to finish this for days now. I wrote reams of journalling of course, then couldnt fit it on the tags, then tried again cutting stuff out but the line breaks were all wrong. Anyway, here it is!!!

I used my new large letter rubber stamps to make the letters.

Arrrgghhh!!!! didn't expect to see THAT! Mr Green

It's great, Maria. Super take on the sketch and love the colours. What's the journaling say? (or would you rather not say, lol).

Funny, I was looking at these pics the other day and thinking I must get them scrapped. It's a long, long time since I did a page for my BOM and these would go in it. Maybe expect another one sometime soon. Wink

I am definately doing this. I could include my illness and time in hospital.
The photos I have of me in the early days are in other scrapbooks, so perhaps
I could get a couple of them copies. Have other projects to finish first, but I will
start gathering bits and pieces for when I do begin it.

Yes Steph, I am doing one right from the pre-war days with photos of me as a kiddy, plus all my family and their families too. It is great fun and I do the occasional page whenever I feel like it. I have done some nice ones of my grandparents, etc.

Heres the journalling. I knew as soon as I saw the sketch what I was going to do, because I was looking for one where there was room for lots of journalling!

Well, I will never forget this day – October 2008 and I was
visiting from France.
I knew mum had got something planned – and suspected that it was to do with
Canny Crafters but I didn’t know what. Mum said I wasn’t to go out, and that I
was to make myself look smart (!). I must say, she had got the dining room all
set up and so I rather thought Lynda must be coming for dinner because she is
the only CC who lived in the vicinity.

Imagine my utter surprise and joy when the doorbell went and
there was LORRAINE
!!! I was utterly over the moon to meet her, and also pretty gobsmacked that
she had made all this effort and a huge
journey just to come and see me, especially with all her caring
responsibilities. I was over the moon of course, and we had a lovely day – Mum
cooked a super lunch and we had a good natter
- and a glass of wine and a look round mums craft room of course.

Ken was even more surprised when he learned that Lorraine had
driven all the way down from Coningsby, especially as mum had got mixed up and
told him she lived in Kettering!

I am so grateful to both mum and Lorraine for making this day possible. Lorraine and the whole
forum have been such a lifeline for me and I have made true friends on there…..
and now I know its for real and not just in cyberspace.
