Mashed Potato

Nothing in particular but I was fed up of seeing Christmas Ham as the last post and figured it must torment poor lou every time she scans down that column so I like mashed potato with salt, pepper and mayonnaise!

I like it with loads of butter and milk and some caramelized onion in it.

i like spring onion mash , you chop the spring onions up , boil them in a bit of milk for a few mins then use the milk to mash the spuds with and add the cooked onions ....yummy with chops or sausages

I'm with Lorraine but without the caramelized onions

makes it so yummyyyyyyyy.

It might be old (so am I now) but I hadn't heard that. LOL

Ooo creamy buttery and milk yep. Never tried anything else in it except the occasional bit of parsnip. They all sound yummylishious though.

And I forgot to add that I like mashed swede in my potatoes and cabbage.

lol you lot. I'm fancying some spring onion mash now.

40% mash, 40% parsnip mashed together

Same with celeriac although I would prefer about 20/80%

Gorgeous with either horseradish sauce or mustard mixed in.

I have always liked doing something different with my mash

i tried some celeriac for the firsdt time recently and was not that enamoured to be honest .
love mash with sweet potato instead of ordinary spud , its great as a topping to shepherds pie , and healthier
