while out craft shopping the other day , i bought a couple of things to wear round my neck , the idea was to put them on ribbon or thonging .
i tied some thonging to it , but other than tying it in a knt , which worked but looked naff ,i did not know how to fasten the ends together .
so , all the jewellery makers among us ,,,what do we use (cos dawn bought one as well )
here is apiccie of them just in case it will help , with an ink pad to help with sizing

With thong cord I have always tied each end to each length of string, that way it pulls through and can be shortened around the neck.

Failing that you could use a crimp like thing that crimps to the end of the cord and has a hole in so you can put a jump ring in it and clasp on other end.

With the heart a larger jump ring on the loop of the heart will put the cord in the right direction.

You can buy chains quite cheaply or still use the thong.

On the flower, it would go through fine and as Karin says, on the heart, add a jump ring to the loop to put it in the right direction. Fasten the ends of the thong with slip knots and then you can alter the length to suit each time you wear them.

I wear my pendants on thongs, I just knot them onto the pendant then tie them in a easily undone knot behind my neck.

No fittings needed!

I use cord ends, then a jump ring and a lobster clasp; let me know if you want a couple to try? (Or send the cords to me and I'll fix them for you, but be quick, I'm going away on 25th!).
