Thank you so much for the canal maps , we really do appreciate them , its kept steve quiet all afternoon.How lovely of you to send them to us . of course we shall take whichever one is relevant at each holiday and use it to plan out our journey.

So glad you and Steve liked them - it will please me to know they have gone to a good home!! When next we meet on a Canny Retreat or on one of my visits north, I have also got a complete set of Nicholsons Guides for each canal, which are detailed and wondrous, but far too heavy to post!

oh yes i know the nicholsons are really heavy and thick aren't they .

Kim, I've noticed by us there's a canal & we do seem to get a lot of canal boats mooring up & staying Mr Green

maybe you & Steve can come visit!

even better if we are near you then you can come see us on the boat . not done the manchester run yet , but we shall do at some point , thanks for the offer though . which part of the canal network are you on exactly ?.

our first canal holiday was froma place called preston brook , if we had r=turned right instead of left out of thewharf , we would have gone up towards the manchester ship canal i think , but we went left and went by middlewich and then near chester etcetc

Canal Network.............. All I know is that there is a canal & it's next to the Velodrome & the big Asda lol!
