I have post

I have finally had some post, of which there were three lovely cards from Tina, lovely colours all go together so well, from Richard, a very attractive design, and last but not least Jo's, very unusual paper very pretty, thank you all very much.

So glad it arrived at last!

Your very lovely card has arrived Kim, yours may come on Monday Lorraine, this is only the second post I have had in two weeks, we have wimps as postmen down here.

I was told that once they started getting through (posties) they were
trying to keep up clearing the new post, but there is such a backlog that it
could take at least a week to clear it. I am expecting some post that I know is in the
pipeline. That hasn't arrived, yet newer stuff has.

steves office is all sorted now with backlog ,but they are only a quite small delivery office and not a sorting office so a massive difference . Their management are pretty good though and have a system for getting everything back in order very quickly . I know some offices are very lax at catching up .

While we're on the subject, can we find out, from an insider, how do they do 2nd class do they sling it in a corner and make it wait a day then put it in the system?
When there is a backlog do they keep heaping it up or do they shove the new stuff to the back of the queue?
Things I wonder eh?

I'm sure Kim's Steve could answer that for you, but I wouldn't
have thought they would sling it to one side. I would imagine they
would deal with first class first, then deal with the rest, but I don't
know.

i remeber one time a friends dh told me that someone put a bag of post in the corner at quiting time and forgot about. they found it months later and delievered it.

steve says thats how they do it to a tee , all offices should use this system but i imagine some use karelyns system as well

Thanks Kim, all depends who's on duty then really.
Our guys must be pretty conscientious as our mail gets where it's going very well, and usually things coming here are good, but I've just found out that somebody sent me something at Christmas and it hasn't come so I'm a bit put out, mostly because it's so unusual and I can't quite believe it's got 'lost' and it's handmade, so not replaceable.
Can't believe our postie is wearing his shorts though, it's still only just above freezing.

Well my outstanding bits haven't turned up. Also a couple of mags that
should be in the pipeline, so having doubts now that I'm going to get them.

This is the first time I have ever had any problems, and although I am getting mail now its only every other day.
