We are now on our 4th printer in 2 weeks and still not up and running.
A Kodak all-in-1 printer scanner. Super wehen it worked.
2 replacement ones then a brand new one arrived today. We will try again tomorrow to get it working, then I will be able to put up then photos.

I bought a Kodak ESP9 when I won those Staples vouchers. I am
so disappointed in it. It certainly isn't cheaper to run. The inks are cheaper but
they run out a lot lot quicker than the HP ones I used to get. The printer
itself is very noisy and to be honest I don't like it at all. Unfortunately I am
stuck with it as I can't justify buying another one for a long time.
It went wrong within 2 months of using it - the ink head split.
Afraid I would not recommend them to anyone.

I feel this ATC exchange has gone a little flat. Nobody exchanges any
comments about what they have received and am beginning to wonder
if its worth the effort. It's nice to chat about what we do and comment
on what we receive.
Any views or comments ?

Don't think it is quite the same as it was, and there seem to be very few joining in now.

So what did you get then Steph, and did you like them?

I always try to put a comment about what I get, and those who get mine will see that I wasn't inspired by the letter U as mine is not very creative this time, although believe it or not it took longer than some of the prettier ones I've done. I just hope people take the rough with the smooth LOL
I received Sue's; Urban Sprawl I like the way the flats are all in blue and the houses different colours at the front, Nona's; Underground with the lovely 3d rock and great artwork, and Helen's; Up, up and away, a very nice piece of shrink plastic.

We're getting near the end now Steph, and I don't think I'm the only one finding these letters trickier, must be harder if you did Alpha 1 as well.
Still trying to think of something for V other than van LOL

I received my pinky today. I got Steph's under the sea, Suzie's my umbrella and Di's unicorn tales. Thanks ladies, all nice editions to add to my alphabet.

Like you Karelyn, I am finding things of ideas for this end of the alphabet harder.

Nona - are you going to carry on running the swaps? I know you
have had problems and printer problems, but I just feel that you have lost interest
in the swaps. You always managed to get the photos etc done before. I love the
ATC swaps - you know that and I want to carry on but I feel there is little input.

For flowers I got Nona's lovely snowdrops (love this one as I love snowdrops),
Tina's flowers which was in a similar vein to the Canny swap one, and Sue's
Pretty in Pink.

For U I got Cynthia's Unlucky 13 (what a great idea - didn't give that a thought
but then I wouldn't as I was born on the 13th), Sue's Urban Sprawl - another great idea, and Barbara's Unicorn.

For 4 I got Cynthia's 4 Corners, Suzie's 4Tune and Nona's 4 points. Some great
ideas this month. Thank you all.

Received my pinky today u's from Nona, Di Masters and Steph loved under the sea idea.

I certainly will continue running these swaps folks as I love doing it for us all.

However I/we have had a terrible time for the past 3 weeks now.
DH and I both had new PCs and bought a KODAK wireless printer to go with them.
Good idea if it had worked. The new printer packed up after 3 /4 weeks.
We were told by PC World that we had to contact Kodak direct,not them.
We did and they sent a refurbished printer out within 24 hours. (printer no. 2)
Great service, if it had worked with windows 7. No way would it scan or print properly. This took us hours on the phone to check it out through all the procedures with a phone techy man from Kodak..
They agreed it was faulty after their checks on it.
A label was sent to us to send it back (free post) via UPS. this all happened on the bank holiday weekend so that
was extra delay.
Printer number 2 arrived the same day as the UPS man collected the new one.

We opened it up the next day and checked it out.
Great - it worked. But, had some muck under the scanner glass whick left a blank when used.
Next day we contacted Kodak, and they sent another label in the post.
Label received 2 days later and printer number 2 was collected. (Kodac did send us some free ink for our trouble)
Nice jesture, but, Inks are no good if he printers do not work!
Kodak did say that their software disc was not up to date for windows 7.

(In that case these priinters should not be sold from retailers. That is our opinion)

Another refurbished one arrived the next day, printer number 3.
Would not scan or print properly, so back to he phone again.
In the end Kodak sent us a brand new Wireless printer. (number 4)
This had a later version of their software disk with it.
Yippee we thought.
No it would not run it.
Back on the phone. They gave us a web site to download their latest software version.
That did half work. Only because we have Serif Page Plus X4 could we get it to work.
Lat Friday we had our PCs and printer finally working.

Oh and in the middle of all this muddle DH was taken seriously ill. Bank holliday weekend.
Saturday 6pm. Phoned the Docs - not available. So NHS direct.
After 3 hours I was debating whether to call an ambulance or dile 999. So, I phoned the chemist and left
DH on his own whilst I rushed down in the car to pick up a prescrition that was supposed to be faxed to them
from our surgery. It had not been sent so it was our surgery who was to blame for the delay of 3 hours
to get antibiotics.

It was 9.45 by the time DH swalloed the tablets.

Last time this illness occured we used NHS direct it was a good service (a blue light job) but not this time.
Our surgery was at fault for not faxing the prescription through to the chemist untill 9.15pm. And the
chemist was shutting at 10. The chemist said "this often happens".

All is well now printer, PCs & DH. He finished the last tablet yesterday.
Today I had new conservatory blinds fitted, ceiling ones. (no Fuller)
Another mess to sort out tomorrow, and I hope to get the photos up as well.

I just hope life gets back to normal again.

Oh Nona, you have been through the mill haven't you! Hope that Colin is feeling better, and that you get back to normal.

For the 'flowery' theme I received Joy's pretty vase, Barbara's purple bouquet and Nona's stunning snowdrops (stamp, or drawing?). For the 'Fab 4' I received Joy's 4x table (like it!), Cynthia's number 4, and Sue's 'forehead'. Cracking set of ATC's Grommit!

Good grief Nona, what a time you have had. Glad hubby is on the mend.
As for the printer - you have more patience than me!!

Yes Tina we have, and Di I am fast running out of it now as I went to put the photos up and they wont load.
This happened the last month so I think ther are too big and will have to be resized.
So ladies once again you cant see them yet.

I think this is a super lot of 'U's. It is not an easy letter to do and I think the same applies to 'V'
I think you have had some very good ideas for it.

Top Row - Me Teabag, title = Underground. The worms are made using Pebeo and feel really gooey

I can vouch for the upset and angst the dratted printers have cause, i would have lost my temper well before they did, especiallty when the new one arrived and the probs were still there, i saw the super ATC's while they were lined up ready to photograph, but with ilnness and everything else, the photo was delayed, but at least you all got super swaps back, i had to content with seeing them...lol

well all said and done our loved ones must come first.

Some lovely ideas there, I laughed when I received Karelyns and saw how she had done it - you will see why when my next lot get to you Nona, and I had already done them!

Lovely lot, but they are Union Flags not Union Jacks, the Jacks is so called when flown form the mast of one of her/his majesty's ships. Lecture over lol Can you tell my brother was in the Navy? Must try to think of 2 or more word ones too, they are good, like unlucky for osme, very creative.
Glad Colin is on the up, I do hope the printers behave from now on.

Oooh Di now you have me guessing. Well they say great minds think alike, don't they.

Thrifty, things are a lot better now all round. DH is well again and so far the printer/scanner is working but I dont think I will ever trust it

I am going to try again with the other photos but I think they have changed Photobucket as I have not done anything different with my camera. It is an automatic one so I cant work out what has happened.
