Sat watching the tennis, heard a crash and bang from upstairs. Went to investigate and met Holly at the top of the stairs with this in her mouth....

one baby Bluetit, I shouted at her and she stopped which meant I managed to get it off her and took it out to garden. Kept an eye on it and eventually it flew off across neighbouring garden.
I assume it must of been just fledged and had landed on the window ledge and the cat grabbed it!

That was the one bit about having cats that i didn't like - when they
caught creatures and bought them home. I know it's their nature but
it doesn't make it feel right.

Awwww super rescue. Been watching the birds this week, they so cute. Was sat at my parents last week, sat about 4 foot away from the bird table and a little coaltit was flying back and forth like mad taking food for the babies. Even the robin came a couple of times, the chaffinch was too scardy though and wouldn't actually get closer than the shed roof.

Our cat very kindly brought home a live mouse for use 10 days ago, thankfully martin managed to catch it and go and let it free. Covered in cat food though as he used the empty (unwashed) tin to catch it !!!!!!!!
