Crime watch
So here we have on the cat walk this evening, quite a disturbing display of my new specs, firstly my going out ones, complete with side view of the Bingo goers trim, these are a dark plum sort of colour]
]
]
followed by the Nina's; A dark olive green which looked more emerald in the propoganda, not sure many people like these as I've had "New specs?" comments rather than "nice specs", but they're more modern in a retro way than my old ones which were quite Grannyish
]
They do magnify the wrinkles rather well.

I think they look smashing, Karelyn but the top pair are really nice. Love the arms.

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date
Re: Crime watch
Nice specs Karelyn. I like them both.
I am going to the opticians this morning for an eye test.

I liked them both too, but the top ones are really nice with the plum bling.

Re: Crime watch
Very pretty arms on the top ones.
Maybe it's the slightly heavier frame on the bottom ones that make them more noticeable to people.

Re: Crime watch
Nice goggles Karelyn - mine are on order and am hoping they will look good when I get them. Have gone for varifocals this time rather than bifocals, as (as the young man told me!) they are less ageing!!!! I have them on three months trial in case I don't get on with them after wearing bifocals for so long - but I intend to persevere and MAKE them work!!

Re: Crime watch
Mine are varifocals Patty, but I've never had any other sort, I don't actually need them for distance yet but the optician said I would in time, so I might as well start off with them. I wear them for driving if I'm driving for more than 20 mins (optician reckons thats when eye strain begins) or when I can't be bothered putting them away.
A good tip they gave me was not to look down when going down stairs as things aren't quite where you think. I take them off when I'm stepping through kids on the carpet as I stand on them otherwise.
