Painting MDF
I have bought some MDF love hearts to make some 1st Christmas tree decorations, I am just wondering what paint should I use?, and any advice on perfecting the handwriting to go on them?

emulsion or acrylic should be ok to use emma. as for the handwriting ,,id use rubons . american crafts do some great books of fonts with lots of letters in them , different styles ,sizes and colours .
i made some mdf coasters and i used yacht varnish to coat them with ( 5 coats ) and it made them highly glossy and they looked great

If you have any gesso, prime them with that first and then use acrylic paint. If not, then coat them with white first.
An alternative way to do your text, is to buy some Safmat from Letraset and print on it. It's clear and self adhesive, so you can then stick it over your ornaments. I use loads of it, love it.
