Tina's January Scraplift Challenge
Here you go girls, a nice simple one-pic LO to lift. Feel free to lift directly or just use individual elements. Post your piccies in this thread for all to drool over (apologies for the poor pic, it's just so dismal here!).

that's okay Goaty, you don;t need to be able to read the journalling for a scraplift . Very hard to get a decent pic in this dull light.

Re: Tina's January Scraplift Challenge
i love it tina. i love the way you picked up the red from the sunglasses. you could teach carol, from craft group, a thing or two. she's not selling scrapbook stuff anymore btw.
the shape that you have your journaling on, i can cut that with the cricut as it's on the gypsy wandering cart and my sister gave me a gypsy for christmas. nice isn't she?
i know i'm supposed to say if i'll attempt this or not but a couple of you on here keep threatening you'll get me to scrap & you haven't done it yet.

Thanks Jane. Yes the journalling shapes are lovely aren't they? I like the fact that they're printed, loads of different patterns in a pack (Making memories I think).
You don;t have to say whether you're joining in or not, as it's not a swap with a sign-up date; just put a piccy here if you do decide to have a go. You could always use the scrapbooking kit I put together for you last Christmas

Re: Tina's January Scraplift Challenge
Scraplift is simply copying or 'lifting' something that someone else has
designed. So, as Tina said, you can copy all of the design or just parts
of it.

Here it is then! Did this one last night - rather bright but Im quite pleased with it, papers are June Bug, Basic Grey.
Photo was taken in 2000 (when life was better and we still had Twiz and Ken and mum and I were having a giggly time)

Very cheerful, matching the mood of the photo perfectly. I like the way you have used the three little squares with the sentiments on.

Re: Tina's January Scraplift Challenge
Ooh yours looks so clean and fresh, here's my busy, busy version, It seemed like as soon as I'd found on bit, another needed putting on.
I missed Maria's somehow, very pretty and girly.

Journalling reads;
We think it was Sgt Dave Anderson who introduced us to the tradition of First Footing when we were at RAF Waddington in 1988.
It's mainly carried out in Scotland and in the North of England.
The first person to visit a household on 1st January should be a tall dark man.
He should bring gifts to symbolise what he wishes on the household for the year ahead. C*** A*** sent us an email asking Mick to First Foot on the Jan 1st 2011 he took salt, coal, a sweet and a coin.
Happy New Year.
I'm not sure what the salt is for as we've not done that before and our friend said she'd not been given a coin before, so somewhere along the line we've got it mixed up, but hey. The chocolate should have been shortbread or black bun really, but chocolate is acceptable.

Yes Lorraine - I love dry painting anything that stands still long enough (so move about when you come visiting!!)
Love your layout and the story Karelyn. I don't think it's too busy at all.

Ooh - not too busy for me. I love pages in which you can spot
new things each time you look at them. Lovely and nice idea.
