First crop class page
Okay, here is the first Scrapaholix club kit page we will be doing
The technique is learning how to use sketches to get started (a personal favourite for me, I love them!!), and this sketch is by Anam (Khihaku on the www). She has written an iPhone sketch app, and is giving away a few free copies as prizes for members who upload their sketch-based LO's on to the site).
Must say, am impressed with the kits, all nice quality, double sided papers; I only added a tiny piece of ribbon to make this LO and have loads of stash left over to make at least another page!

Simply gorgeous layout Tina - it is really lovely. Yes, their kits do usually come "complete" except for one small item and as you say, good quality papers too!

The colours match the photo perfectly. This is very very nice, although
still very different for you. Nice to see you 'branching out'

well, it was more a case of 'there was likely to be a photo to match the papers', I have a few thousand to choose from .

Re: First crop class page
I was thinking how well you'd chosen the pic to match, knowing that's how you'd have to work it, that'll be the bit that takes the time. A perfect match though and a lovely way to get pics scrapped that might not be otherwise.
You are doing a much better job than the lady whose class I went to.
How much are the kits now? Mind you the postage is the bother isn't it.

about £8 odd a month if you sub direct, I think. Not sure if that includes p&p.

Don't panic; anything with neutral colours will go fine, and the papers are double sided if you want to change the colour scheme slightly to work better with your photo.

Oh how cute is that avatar Mrs S
That's pretty good then Tina, might have a look at that, not that I need it with the kit I already get and don't use up.

The other photo looked great, but this one works just as well! You going to make another page with the first photo?

Here is my page
My choice was DD graduation cos it just so happens the colour of her silk matches the papers, page 2 is in the making.

They're lovely,
Jane you're a chicken, try drawing a flower with the leftovers and see how it works out.

They're very simple; you doodle with a black gel pen, and go over it two or three times, making sure it's not too neat and that the lines overlap. Works really well on patterned paper, but equally nice on plain cardstock. A technique taught to me originally by my friend Chrissie.

Here is page two, tried a couple of things that now look like I'm running before I can walk, but I'm mostly pleased with how this has turned out.
