March prompts Empty March prompts

Post by Guest Fri 1 Apr 2011 - 13:50

Did this one for my team over the road. Each month you take a mojo prompt from your tin and do what it says. Here it is - had to be using their sketch, 2 photos, and about two people most precious to you. A no brainer, or what!!!

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date  Laughing

Yes Kim, the 10 of us in the team write out 10 prompts and send them to everyone else, so you get a good tinful! I know Mia's team do the same and it is a great help when your mojo is stuck.

I also have a new idea - I have a pile of photos to be scrapped and I take the top one off the pile and do that and no other until it is done. Quite hard, but I do have a fair stock of papers (wait for Mia to comment on that bit!!!!) so have usually got stuff to match the papers.

What a great idea - can you give us examples ?
Perhaps that's something we ought to do.

I have a list pinned up next to my computer titled Inspiration/A Day For....
with a list that includes card making, scrapping, gold leafing, melting pot,
Fimo,Sealing wax, Colouring, Making postcards, Sizzix, Cuttlebug, ATCs, Making
envelopes,Albums, making notelets etc etc.
I suppose I could put them into an inspiration box as well.

yes i think we should do it too ,too many of us get a little stuck or lose our mojo at times ..but then some dont like being " told " what to do either and in a way i suppose thats what is happening when you take a prompt . but then again its only like having a sketch to follow . look at me ive talked myself into it , then out of it and then back into it again .

They are things like, for instance the March one "use this sketch ... and use two photos of the most precious people in your lives. Journal what makes them so precious". I am just starting the April one which is "use rik-rak, 3 brads, 5 buttons and a large hand made flower embellishment". They are all that sort of thing. We all did 10 of them and emailed them to the other 9 in the team. They then go in a pot or tin or box or something (a nice chance to make a newly decorated box there too!!) and shuffled around and you are on your honour to take out one and do it any time during that month. No cheating and putting it back if you don't fancy it though!!!

So you get 10 but just do 1, then the rest are still in there for next month?
Liking this idea.

Yes, you get 10 from everyone to last you through the year - so that's 90 in total. You chuck the one out that you have done and dusted. I am on my second one now - want to get it done tonight.

You going to stalk us? The scrap pack, not usually high in the points but we have a couple of new members and might be up to strength nearly on numbers, I think there are 8 or 9 of us. We're in the green buttons, goig on the retreat in Sept, I hate buttons, no hate's too strong a word, but they're not my thing usually.
Just counted, 9 but 2 are never seen, 2 more pop up occasionally.
