Re: CHRISTMAS CARD SWAP
Oh Jo! Can I join in your confession please? I posted off the Christmas Card for the swap this morning and quite forgot to take a photo. Could the recipient please do it for me .... pretty please? Blame it on the ever-advancing senility if you like!!!!

Re: CHRISTMAS CARD SWAP
Well I have a choice; post it this week sans photo, or wait until I am home during daylight hours at the weekend and take a pic then. Last posting is this week, so I may have to go for option 'a'

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date
Re: CHRISTMAS CARD SWAP
I havent taken a photo either. surely it makes more sense if the recipients take photo of the one they have received?

Funny you should mention that Maria...
Re: CHRISTMAS CARD SWAP
I thought that's what we did before: when the recipient got the card, they posted on here saying "I've received XXXX's card and here's a picture of it". They would also type out the message from inside, if the handwriting didn't come out well enough on the 'photo. Otherwise, it means two posts: the recipient posts to say it's arrived and the sender then posts with a 'photo.

Re: CHRISTMAS CARD SWAP
Ooooh Steph - have you been taking Italian lessons??? I realised when it Italy a couple of weeks ago that you can blag it really with the language as you seem to only need to add an 'i' or an 'o' on the end and it's fine!!! Italian AND French is just too much for my old brain!!!

You should try Welsh at least seven different ways of saying 'yes' (or no), and invariably the one you need is the one you last try!

Mine has not arrived yet, so I will not be able to post it up until about the 3rd week in January - Royal Mail Keepsafe is holding my post at the sorting office. Sorry, whoever has sent it to me!

Re: CHRISTMAS CARD SWAP
Yes - am a bit worried about the post. I posted all cards and parcels last Tuesday, some have arrived, some haven't. One parcel arrived on Friday, don't know about t'others. But I know at least one card which arrived before Sunday, so am a bit miffed about the swap card not being there yet.

I know what you mean. The card I posted for the card swap was sent at the same time as Patty's card; which has arrived. Must be travelling uphill.

Re: CHRISTMAS CARD SWAP
Phew, glad mine's arrived. Post is definitely odd: we had a card today from an aunt of Steve's who lives not that far from his Mum and Dad. M & D hadn't got the card we posted last Tuesday when we spoke to them on Sunday, but auntie posted a card to us this Monday and it arrived today. I suspect the trick is that they don't take on the extra staff until the last posting day for 2nd class mail, as they know everyone leaves it till the last minute, so anything posted before that has to just take it's turn with the normal staff numbers.

Having taken so long to catch up with all this, had better just say that Lorraine's fabulous card arrived today but I'm not sure I'll get time to take a piccie before.....well, I'm not sure!

The postman must have heard me as there was a lovely card from Tina waiting when I got home tonight. Will try and get a piccie up tomorrow.
Post is strange, posted a card to Sarah Saturday, first class and still not there but we had one last week from Australia which came in 3 days!
