Haven't printed out that many photographs at all, so am a bit helpless and hopeless. So am hoping someone can give me some tips.

I'm trying to print out three 'photos which are a problem. One is the handmade item from the Secret Santa which I sent to Tina - I didn't take a 'photo myself but copied the one that Tina put up on the forum: I think I then used my printer software to crop it. The second is a 'photo of a long, thin wallhanging I made, which has also been cropped. The third is the three tags that I made for the tag swap a few years ago: this was a scan, I think, and has also been cropped.

I have printed these out, using the Windows wizard which lets you print four 'photos to the page. The ornament and tags are landscape and the hanging is portrait, but the wizard turns landscape ones through 90 degrees to fit four to the page. The ornament and hanging have lost part of the picture top and bottom and the tags have lost part to the LH side and I don't know why. I tried doing a Preview on the wizard with two to a page and one to a page, but they still lose these parts of the picture even then.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong, please?

Lynda

Are you printing on A4 setting or foolscap?
It could be that your preferences are set to the wrong size paper.

A4, Karelyn: and I've printed off several sheets of straightforward photographs with no problem using this method. I'm even using the HP Photo Paper, so the printer (also HP) can't complain about that.

How about saving it as a word doc and printing it that way? Try it on economy and black ink only first.

I sympathise - I'm useless at trying to work things out like this.
Keep saying I will spend some time and go into things deeper, but I
never seem to get the time.

Wish I could help Lynda, but I can't this time. I've never even seen the Windows Wizard.

Are you using proper A4 or American 8.5 x 11, clutching at straws pretty much as don't know what windows wizard is, I print mine out via a graphics program.

Have just gone into the wizard to check, and it's set up to English A4 (210 x 297mm), so it's not that, Ruth - and, in any case, have already printed several sheets of 4-up photos with no problems.

All the wizard is is a facility from any of the My Documents displays (My Scans, My Pictures etc etc). If you click on a folder, one of the options on the LH side (where you can copy, delete etc) is Print. Click on this and you will be taken to the wizard: you can print in all sorts of configurations, 2 up, 3 up, 4 up, contact prints etc etc. As I said, the option to print anything other than 1 per page or contact prints is no longer available in the Canon camera software we have loaded, which is why I had to find something else.

The only difference I can see from these three pictures is that they aren't the same dimensions (pixels) as the other photographs I've printed - having said that, some of our photographs are different dimensions from one another. Whether that has any relevance, I don't know.
