FEBRUARY 2013 SWAP - MINI-BOOK FROM ONE SHEET OF PAPER

Please see the NEW tutorial on this: A MUCH BETTER MINI-BOOK FROM ONE SHEET OF PAPER. The one I put up the other day is just too fiddly, I think, and this one is simpler anyway.

Make a mini-book - either the basic one, or one with a pocket - and send it to the person whose name I will PM to you. When you sign up, if you'd like your mini-book to be a particular colour or theme, please put that on your post. Please try not to make your theme too specialised, otherwise your book-maker might not have the papers/stamps/embellishments to make it.

Sign up by the 16th: books to be posted by the 28th February.

Think you will find this really easy, Alison, and I think both styles will look very effective. The problem with the other one is that there were too many folds coming into play when you folded up the book: if you hadn't made the three cuts exactly on the fold there was a lot of trimming up to do.

Don't worry, Lorraine: will understand completely if you don't feel you can do it. If all else fails, you could do the DIY version - make the book - the quick bit - and send it with some matching bits and pieces ready to embellish!

How are people getting on with this? I've folded mine according to the instructions, but it doesn't seem to be looking much like a mini book, told you I needed pictures!
I've done the rectangular one Ok but I can't seems to get Lynda's which is a nicer shape to open properly, will have another go.

Oh, god. I forgot about this. Best come up with something quick.
