Needlefelted ornament
It was Handicraft Guild on Friday and we made needlefelted ornaments with Kathryn, who used to run the jewellery group I went to. Most made Christmas puds, but I didn't fancy that so made this: had to finish it at home and have added beads and sequins. There's three stars round the bauble so it doesn't matter which way round it hangs.

That's really pretty, I love your design. but I hate to say it, it's not proper NF into polystyrene balls. I personally cannot stand it, lol. It's a huge pet hate to us Felters. Wrap it carefully as the wool can come out over the year, and the polystyrene disintegrates.
You are much better off making a ball with some fibre or using the wool dryer balls for future reference.
If you do fancy having another go and don't want to invest in wool just ask Lynda, I have lots, lol, and happy to send you a package.
I'm thinking if trying to make some kits this year so may need some testers too

Re: Needlefelted ornament
We only did it into a polystyrene ball as the workshop was only about 1.5 hours, Jo - not enough time to make the ball, Kathryn explained that at the beginning and said that true needlefelting would mean you made the ball as well. Thanks ever so much for the offer, but I do have some wool from when we made jewellery at Jewellery Group and it's something I only dabble in occasionally.
The kits are a good idea, especially if you're demo-ing and people want to take something away, or a workshop where someone would like to make a different item from a kit. Would be happy to test for you: quite enjoy NF and it doesn't hurt my hands like wet felting does.
