Birthday cards Empty Birthday cards

Post by lyndaejane Sat 24 Jan 2009 - 18:40

Received an early birthday card this morning: checked the postcode on the back - thankyou, Kim! I'll be keeping it for the 17th, but thought you'd like to know it arrived safely.

i got one too, thank you Kim, the excitement was already started to build..now i have an even longer birthday than usual, its usually a week or so with some people sending early and some sending late...but this is amazing. its only the 24th (my dad's birthday, so i have been thinking a lot about him this week and getting a bit sad) this means my borthday has started a good 3 weeks early..yeahhhhh :flower:

Received a square card today: can't read postmark, but it obviously has embellishments on it, so suspect it may be from someone here. Just thought I'd let you know it arrived safely, and thanks. Will save it with the others.

Have received two more cards today, both of which I suspect are from you lovely people. One square, one A6: no help from the postmarks, I'm afraid. Thanks in advance, again.

No, Suzy, I am not going to live dangerously! Want to save them all for the day. But with the weather holding things up and the post sometimes letting people down, thought it would be nice if I let everyone who posted early know that their card has arrived.

Another suspected Canny card this morning: A6 size cream envelope, "open on 17th" written on back. Once again, can't read the postmark - don't think one that I've had so far is identifiable. Why don't they just give up and frank the lines and nothing else? So thankyou to whoever - could even be you, Patty, as I couldn't tell if it was Dorset or not!

And thankyou for thinking of me, Maria: don't worry about it being late - will let me spread my birthday out a bit!
