I'll buy some of your doubles off ya for a cheap price Lou Mr Green lol

Gary was very impressed with some of my colouring that I did with Ruth today & asked me who had actually coloured it! Maybe he thought I'd Ruth to do it for me lol

forgot to mention the colouring lorraine
i think there is a massive improvement in this one , the blended areas look smoother and the colouring is neater ( in the lines )

id get some on cards anyway, i have done , i will send them to somebody at club or something .dont waste them

The new image is lovely Lou, on the I love Promarkers group on facebook there is a colour swap thread. I like Kates colouring style, if I simply colour with a base colour it looks blotchy because I am not a careful colourer but with kates it is just one smooth colour and she is way better than me at adding white lines in the right places

Awwww, cute, Kim. It's lovely. Very Happy
I did actually colour in the lines on the first image, but that was how bad the colour bleed was. Just dreadful so don't use the plain bright card from Graphicus. Smile

I'll be keeping my double's girls. Mr Green I'm sure they'll come in handy at some time.

More money wasted. My concord came today and it's bl**dy rubbish. It's so thin, it's more like paper, it's porous so the colour bleeds again and it most definitley doesn't like the blender pen, it just looks grainy with that. I might have bought the wrong stuff, but I figured Concorde Smooth blank cards were what I needed. Mad

So...I think I'm going to carry on doing what I did yesterday. Use the proper letraset 'no bleed' pad and then stick that onto card.

Not had chance to read back over everyones posts but mine arrived on weds. Had a chance to play in the class on monday night, though I didn't tell her I had bought elsewhree. She has got the stand with all of them on and I bought another 3. LOL

She did say that the best ink pad was momento and she is buying them in too, not expensive pads. I thought the blender was a bit weird, but you can see that it sort of lightens it a bit so you can darken edges again etc., if you know what I mean.

LOL at lorraine, what you like. At the rate everyone seems to be selling out though hun, you could prob sell them on ebay and get your money back.

Well, I wish I'd saved my money 'cause the whole bl**dy lot is going in the bin. Pens, card...the lot. Hump

None of my card works well with them and the bleed proof pad is so thin, it wrinkles when stuck down so I'm fed up and wish I hadn't bothered.

I've been using card from Rymans/Stationary box - 50 sheets for £3.99, it does bleed a little but not too bad & also now I'm getting the hang of using the pens (not being as heavy handed) I think this helps because their not bleeding as much.

Also Ruth commented on this card being really good for stamping on last year at the craft weekend.

Kim, the Stazon runs because it is alcohol based.

I've had a go with Versafine on some smooth white card I had from Prisma and that seems to be working at the moment.

You sound like me Lou, I am just glad I didn't buy many - thought I'd try a few first and only have 8. I must get a Memento pad and smoother card before I give up though. I keep going back to my watercolours/lyras lol.

Staz On ran with mine too but Memento doesn't at all. Got my concord card today and i can see why people like it, it does take the colour nicely. It bled slightly in one place but have a feeling that was because I started to colour it immediately. Conquerer smooth card which is a fairly cheap brand also handles the colours well, that's what I use with digi stamps as Epson matte is bobbins, don't give up Lou, you will find something that works for you

Have ordered some smooth card and some memento ink, so will have another play next week.

Now why did concord card work for you Ruth and not Lou? Do you find it better to leave the images for some time after you have stamped them - maybe stamp one day and colour next?

Memento, Impress and Brilliance (heat set) are all recommended inks.

Anyway, I'm still peed off.

I would have thought that the people you bought them from would exchange them for you if you sent them back and asked for colours you haven't already got, you can't be the first to double up.
All the images look great to me, you're being a bit too picky.

Nah, not really, Karelyn. There is a lot of bleed on the first one and although the second is OK, the paper is so thin that it wrinkles a bit when stuck on card so that ruins it.

I don't know if I've got different Concord than Ruth, Kim. I suppose they do make different ones. Either way, I've not touched the damned stuff today, not that I've had much of a chance to though. Maybe when I calm down a bit, I'll sort summat out.

Kate, we have a Rymans in Boston, hun so I'll go see what they've got. Thanks, though. Smile
