The Credit Crunch Christmas Card Swap

Okay I was 'missing' last Christmas, so wasn't here to get involved with any swaps, but I see that Lynda organised a 'stress-free' christmas card swap, which seemed like a cracker of an idea . Since I guess Lynda is probably a bit busy unpacking right now Lou has given me to go ahead and organise this year's swap.

So, here's the deal; you make one Christmas Card, which is your card to everyone on the forum. You send it to your 'swapee', who takes a picture or scan of both the card and the greeting inside, and posts it for all to see. Simples!

Cards to be posted by 14th December.



Let's keep this simple; everyone needs to send their card to the next person on the list; i.e. I send to Maria, Maria sends to Steph etc. Any questions, queries etc please shout!

I think given how near it it I shall cheat and copy Lynda's idea; I'll amend the first post and see if anyone else signs up.

Me too - although I have already made my cards for everyone. I was going to send them
when the postal strike looked as if it was going to happen but as it didn't go ahead they are
all sat in a carrier bag waiting to be posted at the right time.

I just cannot afford the postage on 70 odd cards at 70p or £1.40 a go, plus the cost of the card (and no, i am not making 70 cards) so for me this year I am sending everyone an ecard - better for the environment anyway. I will feel less of a misery if I join in this though.

Not this time round, I'm afraid. I will be back to normal for 2010 though, so don't start calling me names just yet!!!

We wouldn't dream of calling you names . Nobody would expect you to behave as though this is a 'normal' Christmas; you need to do what's right for you.

Yes please, although I'd love to send individual cards to everyone I know it's mission impossible for me, still got quite a few B'days to sort before I can get seriously into the Christmas card factory mode.

Well, I've always sent cards out and will feel awful if I don't, BUT...with things the way they are at the mo and the saving on postage....count me in too.
