Felt mittens and scarf
Well here they are and they are sooo warm.
My scarf and mittens are in the foreground, I have used the rope to turn a cuff and tied them on so they are threaded through my duffle coat sleeves. I didn't want to loose them and they are too big to go in my pockets!

Wow Jo these look great, as you say they will be warm so wise to do something so you don't lose them.

Re: Felt mittens and scarf
THe rainbow ones at the back were fab, but alas not mine. THat lady had been to the boot workshop so knew what she was doing. I can't wait to do the boot one, but will get sooo wet as you shrink the wool on your foot. The mittens start off huge then we shrank them on our hands. My hands are so dry now, but very clean, lol.
I am going to try and do a small bag if I get chance in the holiday, but need to do assignment!!!

Re: Felt mittens and scarf
Jo, i loved seeing this post, it reminded me of when we did the felting at school during a staf trainng session...we were to be learning the ropes so we could run a few workshop sessions for the kids/students in our school. Irt was a great successful with the adults, i still havent posted any pics of what i made...but we just did flat material and a roll up to make kind of 'bead-like things' out of. The kids have had their work photgraphed and pritned onto acrylic..there is a big exhibition in the new year..looks really great and their 'offerings' will be on sale to public,
Your mittends look amazingly smart.....and they are useful. x

Wow that looks fun Jo. I did my C&G PTLLS with a lady who was teaching felting. They made a purse bag in her first term.

Fantastic. They are really lovely. Is that made using the merino wools. I got some last year when Lily's class did a session. So far all Lily and I have done with it is make some beads, though they still not threaded.
