LOL, I reckon so!
I made a prototype last night; very straightforward. All I need to do now is put my 'idea' into practise.

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date Â
Re: MINI POCKET BOOK SWAP - Jan 2010
Been sitting this afternoon looking at what papers I've got and trying to decide what to do. Thought about a theme but none of the papers will match so having to think again or adapt what I've already got!

You don't HAVE to have double sided but I think it makes a nice contrast.
Glad you are joining in.

Re: MINI POCKET BOOK SWAP - Jan 2010
You weren't the only ones to get it wrong at first. I didn't cut far
enough when you had to make that one cut and I got in a right pickle.
It's still a little book but with only half the number of pockets !!!!

Re: MINI POCKET BOOK SWAP - Jan 2010
i still managed to get the real one wrong but adapted it a little . I had not got both sides the same depth so trimmed the top to make it right .Think my centre crease was not quite centre . I did find though that not all 12 x 12's are the same length both ways , not true square so be careful of this .It also helps if you dont change from inches to cms part way through doing it .

Re: MINI POCKET BOOK SWAP - Jan 2010
You are dead right about 12 x 12 not being 12 x 12. A lot of one or two mm short.
It's been a bone of contention with me for years now.
That's why I folded my paper in half and folded from thereon rather than
measure.

I seem to remember you saying you had started in the centre, was it you ? it must have been . but you did not say why you had done it ,or i would have checked and possibly done it myself

Re: MINI POCKET BOOK SWAP - Jan 2010
Can't remember Kim - I just knew from past experiences that 12 x 12
isn't always so and when something like this has to be so accurate in measurements
otherwise nothing quite fits.
I will be making some more.

Re: MINI POCKET BOOK SWAP - Jan 2010
i find that the 12 x 12's with the strip across the top/bottom don't tend to be true square. suzy was complaining because she had some k&co and it wasn't exact. i think hotp was that way too at one time.
still working out my papers and design. but i'm sure about what i want to do.
i made a sample one and put the tape in the wrong place or folded it wrong, something like that but i don't remember which now. i know what i did, i put the tape on the wrong side. after reading the instructions again and looking closely at the picture i had the tape on the valley side and not mountain. i did find a video on youtube where she scores everything on the same side but everything else is the same.
i hope to have mine done by tuesday so i can post it then as i hope to start ww on tuesday. haven't decided if i want to spend the money.
anyway, i'm excited about doing this book and got the club excited thrusday night. i think we'll be doing that one week tina.
