Don't worry Billie, we only do the things we want to, and there is at least one other person who doesn't want to do that swap

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date

LOL I think kim meant doing a card then swapping the bits, this is just a card kit swap isn't it. Oh heck just realised I might be the one not reading right. Gonna go check straight away.

Re: RETREAT AGENDA.
it says put a kit together. so I see that as meaning put together the bits for a card, swap with someone else and make a card with theirs. You don't make a card from the kit you put together first.

Ummmmm, isn't that the same thing? lol. Karin, you do make things complicated, hun.karinlouise wrote:

As you sussed though. Put a kit together and that is swapped for the other person to make the card with. I've tried to do things so that there is something for scrappers and cardies too. The b/w challenge can also be a card or a LO.

Thanks We've done a card swap before where we actually made the first card and then sent the exact same bits as a kit to a swap. My reading of this one is that we aren't making the card first we are only putting the bits together as the kit. So its different to what we did before. Wasn't meaning to complicate and def not worried about this one as its a good one for me. Thats all I was meaning.

Re: RETREAT AGENDA.
For goodness' sake you lot - do stop all this worrying and questioning. It's making me tired out!!! The time to think of this is about a week beforehand. I am going to two other retreats before the Canny one, incidentally - lucky devil, aren't I?

Ooo yes you lucky thing. Hope you enjoy both.
Thing is for me I have always been a worrier, again stems from childhood and up bringing. As I've done retreats twice now its not actually a panic at all, I'm obviously not typing my words properly for it to seem as though I'm in a tizz. Another failing of mine, oh so many, that I can't express myself properly. I type something out and it reads perfect for me and I'm positive others will understand what I've said, I read every thing back twice and then send. Like the card thing, I knew exactly what I wanted to say and typed it out, but it obviously didn't come out right. Hence the typing of it twice more.

Re: RETREAT AGENDA.
I do it then too !!! Especially when tired, sometimes its total gobbledegook. Can remember doing that in front of friends and I felt a complete idiot and very embarrassed. I hate that.

Re: RETREAT AGENDA.
Don't think I don't realise how very, very lucky I am. Kenny always encouraged me to go and will be pleased I am doing as he said (as if I dared ever do otherwise!!! LOL) This next one in Feb is rather busy and is also in Chester, so I have a very long drive (about four hours). It looks very good though from the agenda, etc. and is a wonderful hotel complex too, with all meals, etc. and even a late evening break for hot chocolate and cake!!!!! Only hope I can stay awake long enough.

have wanted.

It really is lovely, too, that everyone tells me I am doing the right thing. Sometimes it feels as if I am all at sea over all sorts of things, but then I see a message like yours Steph and I feel far better! Silly old fool, or what?

Not a silly old fool at all. Not that it's likely, but if I have to deal with
what you have, I hope I can be as brave as you. You have done so right
by keeping busy and visiting and Ken would be chuffed that you have
done everything you have. You're an inspiration PB.
