Hi just thought this might be useful.

The AA you can put the road numbers in and find out if there are any problems, I use it quite often.

Put the road number in the space on left. Then is shows a map to the side. If there are red circles it can mean speed or traffic problems.

Also you can use this for route planner.

On the left hand slide window at the top is a tab saying route planner. Put deails in and it gives a detailed road and number journey, slide it down to see it all, if there are problems it will tell you. For me right now it only says the traffic blackspot where it is joining the M1 from M18.

M40 Cherwell Valley Services

There is a fire and the fire brigage is in attendance. 70 firemen /15 engines it says on the news.

BBC1 news reports that the roof has collapsed.

Don't know if this affects anyone but it might be slow going past it cos of smoke, though its to be hoped by tomorrow the fire would be under control or out.

I have Kate the satnav, and it'll be M6 which can be a nightmare on a Friday but hopefully we'll be leaving early enough to miss it all

Route planner says 106 miles taking 1hr 50 mins. If we go the scenic way it's 91.6 miles but takes 2hrs 18 mins!

Pretty sure Manchester to Birmingham is only like 80 miles... That only takes an hour and half! You'll be there in no time Cath Mr Green
