Lovely colours, Kate. Looks like a lot of work went into that - and typical Kate, as Di said!

Re: Art Journal - A Little Bit of Me
There are some words that just excite me and 'Art Journal' made me want to look NOW, or sooner.
It's fun and funky and lots of fun, do show us the rest when you've done it, if it's for public viewing ( I mean not too personal to you).
Love it.

Re: Art Journal - A Little Bit of Me
I've just read through my journal thread again and I'm definitely ready to get back to it. Got new techniques I can use now, lol. Thanks for the push Kate.
I'll go take a look at that link too.

Re: Art Journal - A Little Bit of Me
Great page Kt. I am planning an Art Journal through the winter. Haven't really felt like it this past 18 months although I have gessoed and painted the pages but then so much sadness was going on I decided to put it to one side. Onwards, as Lorraine says!!

Re: Art Journal - A Little Bit of Me
What is "gesso"? I have a couple pages which I want to re-start as dont like them, will that help cover what i've done before?
I really want to get into art journalling but feel very limited in what I can do...

Re: Art Journal - A Little Bit of Me
You all keep saying you'd know it was mine, of course you would! I put my initials in the middle of it
Re: Art Journal - A Little Bit of Me
you can get gesso in the works for £5.99 I think but it's a bigger tub that I'd want, so I never bother, not sure if that's a good price or not.

Re: Art Journal - A Little Bit of Me
I never bother with gesso: I use the acrylic primer that Wilkinson's make - think it's three-quarters of a litre and not too pricey. Having said that, I'm now pinching some of the white Wilko paint we used in the hall/stairs/landing: it's the top of their range and has plenty of acrylic in it. Think it was £12.99 or £13.99 for the 2.5 litre can.

Re: Art Journal - A Little Bit of Me
Love your page Kate. Sue and I are both playing around with our art journals at the moment and having lots of fun. I recently bought the Art Journalling double DVd by Kate Crane what a fantastic buy. Its full of inspiration and your journalling ups a level too
Look forward to seeing more of your pages.
