My wonderful garden
There are a few plants left from last year but not the very lovely flowery ones they got eaten and did not survive, and can you see my fabulous dahlias along the centre bed under the beautiful overgrown trees, am I not lucky to have such a beautiful garden that I have spent nearly £200 on plants for it in the last two years, the spring bulbs did come up but the wind and rain knocked them down again, oh can you see my rose bush I have had for over 5 years and have never needed to prune it as it never grows any bigger than it is, oh and I can't take down my washing line as it is cemented into the ground.

Re: My wonderful garden
Difficult to garden in a small space with all the trees and large shrubs Billie, they tend to take all the goodness out of the soil and of course the shade they give.

Re: My wonderful garden
Oh, Billie. It's such a shame that things aren't growing hun. That could be really lovely with those borders.
I don't know what to suggest. Perhaps you could put some bonemeal in to fertilize it a bit, that would help.

Re: My wonderful garden
Di's right, Billie: you need to concentrate on shade-loving plants, preferably shallow-rooted ones, because of the trees. Although you might be lucky with the bed the heucheras are in, unless it doesn't get any sun because of the fence?

Re: My wonderful garden
The bed with the heucheras things has about 1 hour of sun about mid day, and the other side one has it late afternoon, I hate the h; things didn't realise what they were when Lesley chose them for me as I know very little about plants, I like ones that have flowers not those sprigy things, any way I am going to get some wood/bark chipping and cover all the beds with that, might get coloured stuff or colour it myself

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date
Re: My wonderful garden
You can send your heucheras over here, Billie: they're one of my faves. Those and hebes. Am waiting for 4 new heucheras from an offer in our paper the other week.
