Crazy quilt block.
This is the crazy quilt that I said about, all hand stitched.
Maria sorry but it is said (so I'm told) that the leggy thingy is lucky to have on there. I have made it from as nice beads as I can. I don't like them either.
The lace in the corner is from my wedding dress, (I made my own so have material left),the four read hearts are from the retreat bought from Lynda, one for each of us in our house. Dragonfly is stitched on with beads is really shiny if the sun catches it. The buttons on the green material are vintage ones from my Granny's button bag,the three roses were in the kit along with the ric rac, and the material. Other bits are all mine for having a good rumage to find things. Backing material Tina might recognize, only just had enough to bring it around to the front as the edge in one piece.

Re: Crazy quilt block.
Memory's not what it was, was I with you when you bought the backing fabric? Love that little row of button flowers along the top!

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date

What lovely memories in that, Alison! I'm glad you added your own touches. How big is it - can you put it up on the wall as a hanging?

I love the fact that each piece has a special meaning, make sure you make a note of these things and attach it for the future. Nice work.

Re: Crazy quilt block.
Thanks girls,
Tina its one of the materials from your sewing box. LOL
Lynda its turned out to be 12x12 and at the moment I have found a clip trouser hanger that is just right to hang it from.
Karelyn your right I must do that and Di I will add my name to the piece of paper with the info on and have it on the back.
going to see if I can get a nice hanger for it, its going up in our bedroom which is just an extention of my craft space LOL.

Re: Crazy quilt block.
Get yourself a piece of dowel - or even a piece of garden cane - to hang it from, Alison. Then either use two pieces of wide ribbon or sew two pieces of matching fabric that you can attach to the back of the top on either side as loops. Slide the dowel into them and hang the quilt from two fine nails hammered into the wall.
