Re: CJ Chat - 1
Think Maria's CJ may have arrived early this morning before we got up as a card from the postman for collection, but the collection office only open until 12.30 and had to leave 24 hours for collection, so Tom going to collect for me on Monday.

Wil probably have to wait until Tuesday now as Tom has problems with his car so won't be able to get to the collection office going online to re-arrange delivery. Want it now though!!

Have you enjoyed the CJs as they have arrived Cath ? You never say anything.
I get very excited when a new one arrives for two reasons - firstly to see what
others have done, and I am never disappointed. I can honestly say that there is nothing that I haven't enjoyed/admired. The second reason is to complete my challenge of the
CJ that has arrived. Now, I wish I had started mine differently, but I have been happy
with the ones I have done.
Such amazing ideas. How has everyone else felt about them now we are nearly
half way through ?

Re: CJ Chat - 1
I was sure I'd put comments but yes Steph I've enjoyed them all and loved to see everyone's different interpretations of the same theme, but have found Lou's the hardest so far. Have shown them all to Mum aswell as they've arrived and she thinks they are all great too and looks forward to each one. Can't believe either that were halfway through.

Re: CJ Chat - 1
Yes Steph, I too wish I had done a bit more when I started because now I have seen what everyone else has done, I feel I was a bit stinted. Still, everyone else's CJ has been simply super and I have SO enjoyed the challenge of it all. In the end, I enjoyed doing Lorraine's although it was so intimidating when I got it! They are all so different and I, for one, will be sad when they are all done with!

Re: CJ Chat - 1
I didn't mind Lorraines and I learnt quite a bit. Maria's was the hardest for me
because everything I wanted to do had already been done (I feel sorry for the
last couple that are going to get it), but I was pleased with what I eventually did.
I loved the first one, Patty's Months of the Year - perfect subject for a CJ as far as
I am concerned. I learnt things from doing Helen's wild animals. Even Maria's nursery
rhymes - it's surprising the history behind some of them.

I've just finished Sandy's and after a slow start I'm so pleased with it that I think I'll do myself a copy later.
Ta Lou, will look out for that later then.

Honestly though, I don't understand this fear you've all had with it. I really thought it would be easy. Plenty of info and pictures on the net. Just download and stick 'em on the pages.
Of course, I totally understand the standard that had been set when it left my house would be hard to match.
*just kidding *

Re: CJ Chat - 1
Not kidding at all!!! You have no idea how high the standard is on each and every CJ I have had - quite something to aspire too all round!

Re: CJ Chat - 1
I think the reason Bobs has grown so thick is because she did lots of pages and extra bits and everyone has followed to keep up that standard. Looking
at it, I don't think there's enough pages for everyone else but I'm sure folks will
be creative.
AS I said, I didn't have a problem wih Lorraine's - thoroughly enjoyed doing it
and the research. In some ways, it's going quickly - halfway through, but on
the other hand, there is still 6 months to wait until they reach home.
The standard has been exceptional and I hope I am able to do another
next year.

It's fabulous Bobs - don't worry about posting costs - that's all part of
the circle isn't it.

Re: CJ Chat - 1
So you all know, I'm meeting up with Cath on Saturday to get Lou's CJ and then arranging with Cynthia to drop off Karelyns that weekend as well (I may be HIGHLY tempted to drop of Lou's as well at the same time so i dont have to attempt it )
Re: CJ Chat - 1
Don't do that Kate, it's a lovely one to do, although I was first, after the illustrious owner had already done the obvious one. I think it's going to be one of the best this time round.
Of course they are all wonderful in their own way. I'm not looking forward to this one, favourite childhood book, ONE book, how on earth do you choose one, especially one that hasn't already gone.Gulp, hopefully I'll be inspired immediately on its arrival.

Re: CJ Chat - 1
Was just going to post to let you know where Lou's CJ is up to but Kate has beaten me to it. Wasn't that bad after all, as Lou says lots of info on the net but deciding which one to do was the difficult part for me, so much to take in about all them artists.

Maria, the stamps on your parcel were super again. This time, I managed to get the whole sheet off in one piece. Thanks, hun.

Re: CJ Chat - 1
I knew you'd like them Lorraine - after you said about it last time I asked for stamps instead of a vignette this time and she said sure and let me CHOOSE ! Hopefully they will have different ones by next time.
it makes up for you having to fight your way through all that recycled wrapping (cant get brown paper here, or at least I havent found it so am opening it from bobs very carefully and re-using it each time and this is resulting in an awful lot of packing tape).

Re: CJ Chat - 1
I have answered Cath in the posted thread but wonder if it should be in here, or in fact in the 'themes' thread. (please move it if you think it appropriate) This is the second time I have been asked this so I thought I had better make it clearer here.
The nursery rhymes definitely do not have to match with the sign in tags - just choose one you like and ignore the tags, they were never intended to be anything more than just to go with the general theme. The tags defintiely dont have to match the rhyme....

Re: CJ Chat - 1
Cath asked in the Posting/received thread about Maria's Matching tags.
There wasn't one there for my nursery rhyme, so I put my own picture
over one of the spare tags. I did email Maria and tell her and hoped she
didn't mind, which she didn't.
It's good fun isn't it Cath ?
