Fused Glass
This is the second piece that I made, used a pattern and cut the strips of coloured glass. I'm well chuffed with it.
I have it on a stand on the dining room window sill.
This is both the pieces I did, the first is a coaster size piece of light blue glass, some leaves and a pink gerainium flower laid on and clear glass over the top. You can just see how some of the leaves have all burnt away and left a white almost etched look while some other leaves were to thick and have left a carbon image, the pink flower just disolved and left like a traped water look which also spread.
Still they are on this stand together catching the sun.

They are lovely, I like the bi-coloured pieces in the triangular one particularly.

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date
Re: Fused Glass
Wow - the triangle piece is amazing, Alison! You did really well for your first attempt. Would be nice to have that piece let into a window somewhere.

Re: Fused Glass
Both lovely pieces of glass, how did you get the shape of a girl in the smaller blue one.

Re: Fused Glass
Love the triangle one, I think I need to see the second piece in real life, because it looks like an upside down ghost to me which is not the look you were going for, lol.
Re: Fused Glass
Thanks for the comments, glad you all like them.
Billie I guess it does look like a girl in the little one, not ment to have the water type effect in it thats just how the flower went when in the kiln.
Ruth I will turn it around and see if I can see this ghost, LOL I will put them on the flat and take more photos of both of them.
Lynda yes it would look good fixed into a window but for now it will just have to be next to one Clives kiln isnt big enough to do windows other than a small one.
Tina hope you do get to do that you will love it.
