Christmas Advent
This is what I was busy with at the weekend and enjoyed it.
The detailed plan is on Bubbly Funk website, and I found it to be a good credit crunch project as I only bought the matchboxes (Tesco around £3), and the rest I already had from my stash.
Once the boxes are painted nd glued together and the chip board is in place too it's really sturdy.
It isn't embellished at all, I don't have anything christmassy but then I rather like it as it is.

Re: Christmas Advent
It looks good Gillian. I like the colour combos you have used. It looks christmassy enough I think. I really like it.
I made one of these last year for KT for her secret santa present.

Thankyou Helen, after me saying about liking it as it is I've just ordered a Holly die for the cuttlebug, and might get another couple of bits.

Re: Christmas Advent
It's beautiful, I like it as it is too, but you could place a little something on the top and take it off if you didn't like it. Should last a good few years too, well done.

Re: Christmas Advent
Fantabulous, Gillian. Love it.
I've got the instructions to make one of these, but not finding the time at the mo. I think they're lovely. I want one to keep my brads that won't go in my totes, coloured paperclips, book rings, etc, etc in.

Re: Christmas Advent
i think these are always great & so cute reminds me of when my dad used to make dolly dressers out of matchboxes!
Very pretty Gillian!
I'd love to make one, but i always feel so guilty about the matches I'd have to waste?? Also if I leave them in a bowl around Garfield tends to eat them

Re: Christmas Advent
Oh I love it - it's so neat and tidy. And thanks for the link Lorraine - off to have a look, but it will have to be later not this Christmas as I am behind with everything else. Trouble is, there are so many nice little things to make at this time of year, aren't there?
