New year swap?

well im out of time, No gallery yet and Lorraine hasnt been on i dont think, never mind done that so I will have to put it up here. After tomorrow im not around till early Feb. If a gallery becomes available perhaps someone can move it. If not then psot them up here and I will look forward to seeing what you've all done when i get back.

I made the card into a sketch and then did THIS scrapbook page from it. Its called 'my estagnet' because Estagnet is the name of that lake we were at and it was also his 'pseudonym' when we met online, ie he called himself Estagnet. Anyway, here it is

Love the story, I was thinking I might use it as a sketch too, let's see how differently mine turns out!

Here is mine, I know it is a cheat as it is Paul's christmas card and so done before but it does have snowflakes,



I took a piece of card to a friends as her teenage DD has a cuttlebug and some dies that I used to cut the snowflakes and sentement.

Card made for challenge, used the chevrons/colours and a bird image.

Ooh, I like that, Di! Chevrons caught my eye, too (great minds and all that). Good how you've used the colours as well.

Finally got to do mine from when Nicola and I went to the German Christmas markets in December.  Used the snowflakes and sort of chevrons. The wording is cut from a leaflet about the markets. Moved the snowflake at the top to hide a join in my paper. Looks abit dark but think it's the light today.

Great picture, too, Cath! Like your big splash of colour echoing the snow/sky split from the original card. Might actually get a chance to do mine now.

I picked up on the starry background and liked the strip with the snowflake on, so repeated it. Not entirely convinced - probably one of those projects that is nicer in the mind than in reality! Plenty of recycled materials.

Loving all of these. Great that we are all doing something together again, I wont mind if the busy or poorlies put theirs up late if you do get to do it.
Tina, hope fallout is sorted without to much hassel and that she is ok as its not a nice thing to happen.

I subscribed to 6 issues of Making Cards to try and inspire me, it has to be said I have not been impressed with them especially so will go back to Pintrest for ideas but these were some of this month's papers so included some chevron Washi, an animal (well sort of ) and the curve in the middle of the card which is mostly covered.
