Christmas 2020
I've had requests - well, one, actually - to get the Christmas swap going sooner rather than later, and as we'll all be confined to barracks for at least four weeks, we might as well start now. With luck, that will leave December to do the proper preparation for whatever Christmas celebrations we're allowed to have!
Think we only managed one swap this year, so no excuse for not taking part in this one! It has been the strangest of years but, as ever, we've all been here for each other and this is our chance to acknowledge the love and support we all get from everyone on the forum.
If you're all happy with the swaps we've been doing in recent years - please shout if you have any better ideas - then we'll continue with a Christmas card or a Christmas card plus an ornament (for the tree, or freestanding/free-hanging if you wish). Please try to join in with one or the other: so few of us on here now.
Just to recap, the Forum Christmas card is a card which will be sent to one other forum member, but will have inside it a message to everyone on the forum. You can either just send a card or, if you're happy to do so, make a Christmas ornament - however simple and in whatever materials you want - to go with it. Once we get to the cut-off date, or everyone has signed up - which ever is the sooner, and giving me time to trawl through recent years so you're not always sending to/receiving from the same person - you will receive a PM from me to let you know who your recipient will be.
Sign up by November 15th, cards/card and ornament to be posted by the Last Posting Date. These dates are: 18th December - 2nd Class inland and France; 21st December - 1st Class inland.

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, just like they should be.

Re: Christmas 2020
card and ornament for me please. I seem to have created a monster with a product I launched on the British Craft House on Friday, so one more won't make a difference!!!

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date

Re: Christmas 2020
Stick me down for a card, I can't promise it will be handmade, I am tempted re ornament as I have the base for it but I am hesitate to promise anything and don't want to be stressed about making it so unless I come up with a concrete idea/have cleared my desk by November 15th I'll leave it.
Re: Christmas 2020
yes I will do a card, am not really feeling the love at all a tthe moment so id better leave it at that

Right, will put you down for a card ftb, Ruth, and just let me know if you come up with an idea for an ornament. Maria - will add your name to the list of cards only. Thanks, both.

Re: Christmas 2020
Have PM'ed all of you who are in the swap - please let me know if you don't receive the PM.
This must be the earliest we've ever started: perhaps I should award a prize to the maker of the ornament which arrives first!

Re: Christmas 2020
That's beautiful, Tina, and thankyou for the Christmas message.
I should set up separate threads for the pictures: if you feel like repeating this all over again there then fine, Karelyn, if not don't worry.

Re: Christmas 2020
All the cards and ornaments have arrived now and I'd like to thank you all for taking part in this swap - gave us all just a touch of normality in what has been a far from normal year.
