Christmas Wall-hanging Empty Christmas Wall-hanging

Post by lyndaejane Mon 8 Dec 2008 - 16:11

This is the wall-hanging I made, after I foolishly promised to make a handmade item for the raffle at the Christmas meeting of my local branch of Essex Handicrafts Association this Wednesday:

Christmas Wall-hanging Noelhanging1

Next time, I shall choose something a bit easier, as it took me about 20 hours to make it!

Lynda

Wow Lynda - it's lovely. I don't think I would want to give
it away after 20 hours in the making.

Now that's a better prize than a box of shortbread anyday, someone will be lucky. You may have set a precedent there.

I hope someone wins it that realises the work that has gone into it.
I think non crafters don't always realise that, so fingers crossed.

Don't worry, Steph - they'll all know how much work went into it because they're all crafters themselves. It's funny, I don't really mind giving it away, as it was always intended like that. I didn't even worry about giving away the Advent Box I made for my friend in Iowa - and that took about 100 hours to make!
