Re: Patty
Well talk about challenging!!! This is what I have come up with - alcohol inked the clear disc and also the odd coloured metal clips to match each other. Quite pleased with the result though, as I never really thought I would manage to make anything with the things I received.

Re: Patty
Wow Patty thats brilliant, so funny, but what did you do with the funky foam?
Seriously though I sent all the items so you could choose which ones to use I never expected something like this. Fantastic.

Re: Patty
Sue - are you ready to laugh your young head off at this silly old fool (Mia and Tim call me a silly old buggeroo!!) I thought the foam was just packing for the other fragile little bits ..... what an old prat, eh? Have just been through the bins and fished it out - have never used it so didn't recognise it as a usable feast - I am so very sorry. And glad you liked the results with the other bits. [Hangs head in shame!]

Re: Patty
what does funky foam look like then? (a bit worried I might do the same) and what does one do with it? am I missing a treat?

Re: Patty
its just thin coloured foam , it can be used very easily in the cuttlebug to cut flowers etc out .probably 1mm thick maybe 2mm at a push

Re: Patty
LOL, lovely card. Very jolly
I like heating funky foam with a heat gun, then pressing a stamp with clear versamark on (to prevent sticking) into the foam which embosses/debosses it, quite effective using alpha stamps and bolder rather than fiddly/intricate designs. Lay the foam on a glass mat or baking parchment first, you'll see when it's warm enough to play with it changes slightly.

Re: Patty
Another use of funky foam. Make mini springs.
1--Cut it into thin strips, about 1/8 inch.
2--Wind it aroud a knitting needle or something. preferably metal or wood. NOT plastic.
3--secure both ends with a bit of tape.
4-- heat it up with a heat gun (not too hot though).
you can watch it start to change shape.
5-- when it has turned into a spiral. Cool it by blowing on it.
6-- undo the tape and out shoots your spring.

They say you learn something every day of your life and I collect rubish info most days.
Sometimes the old grey matter churns it back out for some useful purpose.
Trouble is the cells are not reliable to emit info JUST when required, they need jogging.
