the garden today

Well, after seeing Di's lovely pics I thought I would take a few myself.

My iris are all hammered after the rain, but the roses are keeping their end of the bargain



this is my very favourite rose of all - Mme Gregoire Staechlin, sometimes called 'Spanish Beauty'. I bet this is the prettiest postbox the postie stops at round here!

ooo that is gorgeous, has it got much perfume to it?
Roses don't like our soil, have given up planting them, although one yellow climber continues to try it's best on the side wall - but it never looks anything like yours.

yeah the pink one is an old rose and smells divine, the yellow hardly smells at all
