Our water feature was past it's best and wouldn't hold water anymore. I was reluctant
to get rid of it so Den has planted it up. It should look lovely when in full bloom.
Sorry photo is wishy washy - taken in full sun.

It looks great now and will look fantastic when you have flowers cascadig out of it rather than water, beautiful.

What a great idea, Steph: any ideas for what to do with it when you can't use it for plants any more!

Yes Lynda, just keep putting different season's plants in it, or alternatively change this lovely thing into a little bog garden just by putting a polythene liner in and then some soil and keep it damp. All year round loveliness, eh Steph? It looks great.

Oh yes, Patty's right. I intend to keep it topped up with the seasons. No reason why it
shouldn't last us for years and I can watch it all from my work table.

That looks beautiful! I love seeing what things people use as planters in their garden.

That looks fab, a friend of mine has loads of old saucepans screwed to their fence post and added a half panel to the front of the pans with hanging plants coming from them. They look great.

We used to have one of those tall coal scuttles and plant trailers in it.

I had a pair of Bobs work boots planted up once, lol. I have a chair outside that broke, its a dining room one with metal legs and back and wooden seat. I shoved it outside then plonked some flowers on it. Then realised some ivy was growing out of the hedge so trained it around the back. Was looking quite pretty until Bob cut the hedge yesterday and chopped it off!!

Yup!! I stuck a piece in the pot on the chair in the hopes it will root and start again.
