Nestie Storage
I used Basic Grey Infuse. All the nesties are stuck on magnetic paper with an acetate cover tucked in the flap. Much nicer than the plastic packets everywhere.

Re: Nestie Storage
well Patty and i went through the craft stamper to try and guess what you were making. I ruled this straight out cos I havent got any nesties (so assumed nobody else had any either). Mum did say this looked a good idea.

Love it!
Now off to find out what exactly nesties are, and whether or not I *need* some

Re: Nestie Storage
ooo thats lovely Lorraine. Well done. I got some magnetic photo paper from Lidl the other week, was wondering how I could use it seems like you've got a perfect solution.
Very very nice.
And yes Tina, you do need nesties !!! I'm bringing mine to retreat.

I've got two different label ones, got one lot for america. I really need the square bracket one now...looks like fancy brackets joined all the way round.

Looks good Lorraine, I went through craft stamper trying to figure out which project you were working on.

Re: Nestie Storage
Hmm, are they for knife-cutting, or a machine? Can they do anything that my Cricut can't? LOL

Re: Nestie Storage
They're for a cuttlebug/sizzix type die cutter, you could probably cut the shapes with your Cricut, but I don't think you can emboss the edges, which you can with these.
Love the binder Lorraine, I wonder If I could bear to get mine out of the packs and put them in a binder.
Where did you get the magnetic paper?
I think I might have something like it from poundshop for making fridge magnet photos postcard sized.
Doh, why do you go and get me thinking about this, I've got ATC's and Goaty's pressie to make.

Re: Nestie Storage
Kareyln, if you have a Lidl near you they were selling photo magnetic paper for the printer last month, but its not a big seller so they might have some left. Failing that our craft shop is selling A4 pieces of magnetic matting for £1 so that you can use the magnetic bit on the big shot/bug to keep the shapes in place.
Tina I have a big shot and with a bit of extra padding (card) they cut lovely, if you leave the cut in the shape, and swap to an embossing mat it then embosses an edge into it. It also stencils but not sure how that works, think its if you want to put something else in there.
I love em, they are lovely in diff colour as diff backgrounds to work. Ruth uses them a bit, and that card that Lorraine did of the Flower girl is on a nestie cut background shape.

Re: Nestie Storage
Great work Lorraine, as always. I only have two sets of Nesties (well, actually one of these sets is cookie cutters) but the idea is excellent and I think I must make one - to encourage me to get more Nesties too!!!! (Well, any excuse, eh?)

Re: Nestie Storage
I had to make another four pages last night after this pic was taken, lol.
I remembered my tag dies, so they're in there too now.
Some of my magnetic paper came from Once Upon a Stamp (Rubadubadoo don't do it any more). But, I would suggest you look around. OUAS sell it for £3.99 a pack of four...BUT....it is only 1 A4 sheet cut into four, so it makes it very expensive indeed. I'm sure you can get it cheaper. I've seen other sites recently with the four packs at about £2 ish.

Goodness thats expensive. The sheet our shop is selling is slightly smaller than A4 but cuts in two to make two bits to go through machine. And it was £1. Not sure if she's got any more. But if people want some I could possibly get some and bring to retreat. Prob best not to put through post, can imagine it getting stuck in the machines !!!

That's great Lorraine. Would love to have some of these nesties but as I only have a sizzix sidekick don't think they would fit.

Re: Nestie Storage
Thanks, girls.
You know, I don't often actually use anything I make, but I love this. I've been dipping in and out of it all day and it's sooooooooooo easy to get at your dies. You should all do this.
